Churches Ought To Replace ACORN In Helping The Poor

  • “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself.” Ezekiel 3:20-21

    The tolerance of evil is no virtue and Liberalism’s propensity to tolerate the oppression of children, unborn and born, provides an excellent opportunity for Christian Churches to stand in the gap. ACORN has been exposed to tolerating the oppression of children when employees there showed no concern about child prostitution. Imagine what the billions of dollars that were headed ACORN’s way could do if given to Churches that are truly pro-life? Liberals will not let this happen because they are on a mission to replace the Church with the State.

    Unfortunately, many Christian Kapos are facilitating this by appeasing the State’s takeover of the Church’s historic mission. Instead of calling the Church back to it’s proper role, many call on the State to replace the Church, this can only lead to a moral implosion of the Church, society and the State because a relativistic world view will become dominant.

    Here are some verses that deal with how those who worship the one true God ought to treat the orphan and the widow. Two groups that Liberals oppress through abortion and excessive taxes.

    “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

    If the unwanted child does not epitomize the fatherless then who does? Where is the father of the unborn baby being ripped to shreds inside his mother’s womb?

    “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
    Before you were born I sanctified you…” Jeremiah 1:5

    “My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place.
    When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

    your eyes saw my unformed body.
    All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

    How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
    How vast is the sum of them!” Psalm 139:15-17

    Instead of sacrificing our children out in the open in pagan rituals, modern medicine has enabled such a sacrifice to be done in the sterile confines of a medical office.

    “They worshiped their idols,
    which became a snare to them.

    They sacrificed their sons
    and their daughters to demons.

    They shed innocent blood,
    the blood of their sons and daughters,
    whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
    and the land was desecrated by their blood.” Psalm 106:36-38

    “The people of Judah have done evil in my eyes, declares the LORD. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it. They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire—something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind.” Jeremiah 7:30-31

    The orphan and the widow need to be defended and Christians, priests of God, ought to lead such a defense.

    “He who sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
    “You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
    “You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.” Exodus 22:20-24

    “You shall not pervert justice due the stranger or the fatherless, nor take a widow’s garment as a pledge. But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this thing.” Deuteronomy 24:17-18

    “Why does the wicked man revile God?
    Why does he say to himself,
    “He won’t call me to account”?

    But you, O God, do see trouble and grief;
    you consider it to take it in hand.
    The victim commits himself to you;
    you are the helper of the fatherless.

    Break the arm of the wicked and evil man;
    call him to account for his wickedness
    that would not be found out.” Psalm 10:13-15

    Jesus Christ died for our sins, the sins of humanity, the sins individuals, and the sins of those who hearts beat but are temporarily located inside another persons body.

    “Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
    and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

    “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
    Jesus the Way to the Father
    Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

    Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:1-6
