Arsonist Hits Historic Black Church In Los Angeles

  • Is it news to you that a black church was set on fire back on August 11 in Los Angeles? It was to me as I was watching the local news here in Southern California and there was a debate between two African American men about the Glenn Beck Rally. The Conservative activist, Ted Hayes, argued persuasively in favor of the themes of the rally. It was, however, something he said during the exchange that required some follow up. He said that there was a historic black church that had been severely damaged because of an arsonist, and a likely Hispanic one at that. I found more at Hayes’ website:

“On Wednesday, August 11,2010, the facility called the Church of Greater Works was set on fire by White, Hispanic/Latino gangsters, illegal aliens and no doubt anchor-teens. Have you heard about this? Of course not, because these perpetrators of racist antagonism against American Black US citizens are so-called neo Brown-Bronze La Raza, racial minority-majority, Caucasians. Somehow in the media/press and African American leadership, illegal alien gansters get a “pass” on their attacks against Blacks.

However, we all know had these attempted murderers been American USA, Anglo-White “skin” Caucasians, the world would be in an uproar about them burning down an African American church. Shades of Birmingham, Alabama church-bombing and other church burn downs by KKK and “those racist White people”.

Jesse, Al and all the “usual” suspects, including the New Black Panther Party, the Mayor, City Council members, Board of Supervisors, ecumenical clergy, the Police Chief, and on and on and on would have been on this had it been not Hispanic/Latino peoples, but instead American Anglo-Whites. You know exactly what I am talking about!

Yet, the world knows nothing about it. There is no outrage!”

    And this news clip:

From the Los Angeles Times we have this rather benign piece about the fire that says nothing about possible suspects:

“A large cloud of smoke stretched across downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday night as firefighters battled a blaze in a church and adjacent house, authorities said. Me.fire2

The fire in the 500 block of East Washington Boulevard quickly spread from the church to the single-family house, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.Fire crews were battling the blaze from all sides, officials said.

The fire broke out about 7:20 p.m.No additional details were available.

[Updated at 8:30 p.m.: The blaze was knocked down by 80 firefighters in 41 minutes. No injuries were reported, and authorities did not know the name of the church, said Fire Department spokesman Devin Gales."

Can you imagine for just a moment that this was a Mosque that had been set on fire. Do you think there would be instant media attention drawn to it? Absolutely there would be. So why have you not heard about it until now? I think you know the answer.
