Couple Aborts Twin Boys Because They Were The Wrong Sex; UPDATE: Help A CPC If You Are Outraged

As a father of twin boys who just turned one this weekend, this story totally sickens me. The ease in which parents abort their children these days reflects a deep moral sickness. From the Daily Mail:
A married couple who aborted twin boys the wife was expecting after IVF treatment have gone to court to choose the sex of their next child – because they want a girl.
The husband and wife already have three sons and said they now want to have a girl after their baby daughter died soon after birth.
They are both aged in their 30s and have taken their case to a legal tribunal after an independent medical body known as the Patient Review Panel rejected their bid to choose the gender of their next child using IVF.
The couple said they had made the decision to terminate the twin boys but could not continue to have unlimited numbers of children.
And they warned that If their bid to have a daughter fails, they said they would go to America for IVF treatment in a bid to conceive a girl.
The case, in Australia, is to be reviewed by the State of Victoria’s Civil and Administrative Tribunal which has the power to reverse the earlier decision and will hear the case in March.
The unidentified woman conceived her three boys naturally and said she loves her sons but would do anything to have a daughter.
Her husband, who also cannot be identified, said: ‘After what we have been through we think we are due for a bit of luck.
‘We know we definitely won’t be replacing her in any way, but want the chance to have the baby girl we don’t have.’

I wonder what their sons will think when they learn some day that their parents killed two of their brothers for merely being boys?

This is agonizing to read. My husband and I always talk about how we’d love to have twin boys so much – not that we would love any other child less, just that it’s a hope of ours. The idea that this couple merely saw that double blessing as an inconvenience is devastating to read. How can people treat human life so flippantly? It’s no wonder there’s so much violence in our world – if a baby’s life is treated with so little regard, why should anyone else’s life be treated any better? This really makes me sad.

I saw this article earlier in the week. It is sickening how anyone could justify abortion in this manner. All abortion should be illegal, but this is the worst form of abuse of a heinous law.

In addition, why don't they just adopt a girl!! I hope they are punished for their crime against human life and they are unable to have anymore natural born children after aborting their twin boys so selfishly! After all, many women become infertile after abortion.
It is inconceivable to me how anyone who has suffered the loss of a child could then go on to terminate the lives of not one but two precious babies. My son was stillborn nearly four years ago and when I was pregnant with our next child I was initially disappointed when we found out it was another girl (she has three older sisters) and yet immediately loved her because she was still the same baby I had longed and hoped for. She is such a joy, having just entered her 2nd year she is full of vim and vigor but a joy just the same. We are currently expecting as well and again I hope for a boy but if it is a girl she will be loved and covered with kisses just the same as all of her siblings including her brother.
