Oakland Elementary School Uses Gay Activist Group To Sow Gender Confusion Among Kindergartners
-
Liberals are assaulting our children’s innocence at younger and younger ages. They are even robbing their innocence when they are in kindergarten. Redwood Heights Elementary School in Oakland is relying on a pro-gay organization to sow gender confusion among the students. From the Mercury News:
Some girls like the color blue. Some boys like to wear things that sparkle. Not all girls play with dolls, and not all boys like to play with trucks.
Kindergartners at Redwood Heights Elementary School reached those conclusions on Monday during a lesson about gender and acceptance. “Colors are colors,” “toys are toys,” and “activities are activities” were the mantras of a lesson designed for kindergartners and first-graders. Older children learned more about what gender means, how it’s been expressed in different cultures throughout human history, and that it’s possible to be both genders — or neither.
Redwood Heights is the first elementary school in Oakland to teach children about gender identity and expression with a curriculum developed by Gender Spectrum, a San Leandro-based organization. The school’s parent groups endorsed the lessons as part of an ongoing effort to make the school more welcoming, Principal Sara Stone said.
“Really, it’s about reducing and dispelling stereotypes and prejudices so kids can show up to school and feel like they can learn and thrive without being stigmatized or teased,” said Brett Bradshaw, a Redwood Heights parent who is also chairman of the school’s LGBTQ Affinity group.
Stone said few parents expressed concern about the program, which was funded by a grant from the California Teachers Association…
What about this group, Gender Spectrum? Here is what it has to say about gender variance:
Gender variance is when a person’s preferences and self-expression fall outside commonly understood gender norms. Gender variance is a normal part of human expression, documented across cultures and recorded history. Non-binary gender diversity exists throughout the world, documented by countless historians and anthropologists. Examples of individuals living comfortably outside of typical male/female identities are found in every region of the globe. The calabai, and calalai of Indonesia, two-spirit Native Americans, and the hijra of India all represent more complex understandings of gender than the simplistic model seen in the west.
Further, what might be considered gender variant in one period of history may become gender normative in another. One need only examine trends related to men wearing earrings or women sporting tattoos to quickly see the malleability of social expectations about gender. Even the seemingly intractable “pink is for girls, blue is for boys” notions are relatively new. While there is some debate about the reasons why they reversed, what is well documented is that until the 1950s, pink was seen as a more decided and stronger color, and thus more suitable for a boy, while blue, viewed more delicate and dainty, was commonly worn by girls.
More from the Mercury article:
On Monday morning, children in Cynthia Bagby’s kindergarten class discussed whether there were, in fact, “girl colors” and “boy colors.” Some giggled when Joel Baum, the trainer from Gender Spectrum, read “My Princess Boy,” a nonfiction children’s book by Cheryl Kilodavis about her son who liked to wear dresses and a tiara.
“That’s a funny boy!” one boy said.
You remember “Princess Boy“?
Not only is the school failing these kids, the parents have decided to not instruct their children about what it means to be normal and that gender confusion ought to be accepted and promoted. Tragic.

Oh my word!! This is so wrong! This is a sin. Being male or female is called a stereotype? This is nonsensical and is liberal garbage being shoved down kids throats. This is so sad…. Will pass on with a hat tip.
Thanks. Yeah, it's outrageous.
I don't understand you. Haver ever heard of the word "sissy"? How about the phrase "tom boy"? These terms were around when I was a kid and probably during my parents generation too. Kids are already aware of the differences in gender as expressed by the use of these terms. Some people are just different and kids already know that. It's not like they gay group is saying anything new. Besides, what clothes children wear should be left up to the parents.
parents shouldn't make their kids be normal.
