He's utilizing the logical fallacy of 'appealing to popularity'. Just because something is popular amongst a group of individuals does not make it true. True to form for a democrat, he says we're (the republicans) anti science, when in truth we're pro science and using the very same science that he and his fellow evolutionists & pro global warming ideologues use, we just reach different conclusions. Not anti science at all just pro Truth.

  • The debate is NOT between science and creationism. Liberals love to say that it is, however. Evolution is not science. Evolution is a religion of naturalism. So the debate is actually between two religions: God's way versus man's way. Why is this so? The naturalists claim that billions of years ago, a "singularity" exploded and brought about everything that we now have via time and chance. They have no proof that such singularity existed. They merely accept it by faith. Evolutionists themselves agree:

“Big bang cosmology is probably as widely believed as has been any theory of the universe in the history of Western civilization. It rests, however, on many untested, and in some cases untestable, assumptions. Indeed, big bang cosmology has become a bandwagon of thought that reflects faith as much as objective truth.”

    G. Burbidge, “Why Only One Big Bang?,” Scientific American, 266 no. 2 (1992): 96.

Darwinian atheist Michael Ruse has even acknowledged that evolution is their religion!

"Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular religion—a full-fledged alternative to Christianity, with meaning and morality. . . . Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today."

  • It doesn't particularly matter what you call them. Both evolution and creationism still suffer from having a creator "ex- nihilo." If you think about it, they are both absurd. On one hand you are told to believe that an amoeba can become a person if you give it enough time; say 14 billion years or you can believe that a person you never met created all this in six days. It's one extreme or the other.

  • I have met and know the Creator, Jesus the Christ. I'm sorry that you have not, for you are missing out on both the Greatest Wonder and the Greatest Adventure in life. Seek Him now, call upon Him while He is near, for the day will come when it will be too late. The only possible and honest way that you could say He does not exist, is for you to know everything there is to know in the universe, else He will exist in a part of the Universe that you do not know. I'm hoping that you will not claim to know everything that there is to know in the universe, because that would make you God. Heaven forbid!

  • If you reject both options then where do fall in between them?

  • are you people rea, or is there a machine putting out these posts?

  • Sometimes it's okay to say "I don't know." I don't think any one really knows. We don't know 100% surely that we are the only planet with life on it. I do know when something sounds absurd though.

  • Hello Emcee,

You're welcome to your point of view. If you read my response to Todd above, I'm simply saying that sometimes we just don't have good, clear and concise answers about how the universe began. I think it's far better to say we don't know than to start postulating creators because them we need to know who created the creator.

  • Human beings are so arrogant and full of pride—they think that they are able or ought to be able to know everything! Why do we need more than God has told us already? We don't! The Word of God was not intended to tell us how the universe began; no, rather the purpose of the Word of God is to instruct us on how to know Him. There are simply some things that only God knows and understands, and we will never know or understand them. No one created God; and in order to know everything about God, one would have to be Him. I would rather bow my knees to Jesus Christ NOW, than be utterly stupefied and full of regret for having ignored Him now, and having to bow on Judgment Day just before being cast into the lake of fire.

Colossians chapter 1 tells us that Jesus Christ himself holds together the very atoms of all that exists! We do not need to know any more than the Bible tells us.
