Democrat Elizabeth Warren Still Stands In Solidarity With The #OccupyWallStreet Mob

I guess she gets points for standing up for her beliefs so there is no mistake about who to blame for the growing chaos across the country. The Democrat running against Scott Brown in Massachusetts likes to take credit for the Occupation movement and continues to do so even in the face of criticism. From the Daily Kos:
In an interview with a local television station this morning, Elizabeth Warren responded to the new attack ads Karl Rove is running against her:
Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren Thursday had no problems being linked to the Occupy Wall Street movement and stands by her statement that she “created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do.”
Some direct quotes from Warren in the interview, which will air in full on Sunday:“Occupy Wall Street is an independent movement, organic, moving in its own direction. And that’s how it should be. It’s its own voice.
What I’m doing is what I’ve been doing for a long time, and that is protesting the activities on Wall Street, trying to hold those guys accountable, and now trying to take that fight to the United States Senate”
Warren added that “I’m glad to see people push on this issue,” that “we need a lot of voices” and “this is about the future of the middle class.”
It is hard to make sense of Rove’s attack on Warren. As lynne1 points out in a post on the recommended list, Occupy Wall Street almost certainly has high favorable rating in Massachusetts. At the same time, as Ari Berman notes, Karl Rove is probably not popular at all.
Please, keep chipping in to Elizabeth Warren’s campaign. Let’s make sure that this is the worst $600,000 Karl Rove has ever spent.
