Since Tim Tebow Is Not In The Super Bowl Do You Vote For Newt Gingrich?
-
I am a life long Denver Bronco fan. I grew up 15 minutes from the old Bronco’s Summer training camp. I have pictures of myself getting the autographs of Tom Jackson and Randy Gradishar. I have a signed John Elway football card as well. Back in July of 2011 when we found out there would be NFL season, I put my boys in their Tebow jerseys. The amazing season Tebow and the Broncos had got me back into following the news about the team since there had not been much to cheer about in recent years. The playoff victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers was a definite highlight. That was followed up by a crushing defeat by the New England Patriots. A defeat that was pretty much expected. So now that my team is not going to be in the Super Bowl I must decide whether or not to support Newt Gingrich for President.
If I am a committed Bronco fan can I really support another team winning the Super Bowl? Especially if it the team that took mine out of the playoffs? I could stay at least loyal to the division and support the AFC team over the NFC team right? I was supporting Rick Perry but he is no longer in the race. He did not get beat in a strict sense by anybody but himself and there did not appear to be any chance of a fourth quarter comeback. People can learn from their mistakes, grace is granted to those who repent, and since we are all in the same boat, we should forgive those who ask for it. But do does that really make someone a stronger candidate? I am not convinced. Tim Tebow will not be in the 2012 Super Bowl and I will not be voting for Newt Gingrich in the 2012 Presidential election.

… and neither will I. He is a big government progressive. The word ‘conservative’ has been thrown around so much by so many, that there are multiple ‘versions’ in the public eye of what a conservative is. Guess we are back to “it all depends on what the definition of IS is.” On a more personal note, he (Gingrich) is creepy to me. The same way people blindly stood/stand behind obama, they do so for Newt… and all because he knows how to talk. Yeah. THAT makes a good President, right? One thing is for sure… we are in for a wild ride.
But Todd, assuming Newt's the nominee, if you don't vote for him, you are voting for Obama.
DaveAlgie, I personally, was speaking of in the primary. WHOEVER is on the ballot against obama has my vote.
I'm growing a little leery of those kids of statements. I vote X is really a vote for Y, or in this case a non-vote. Granted in a state where the vote is close that may be more of an appeal. Remember, I'm in California and the GOP candidate will likely lose by at least 20 percent. And if it's Newt, probably more.
Right, I agree that such comments are pretty silly. But I remember you saying something like that at one stage.
Newt's not going to win the nomination anyway, is he. I am looking forward to mocking you for a long time for what you are actually going to end up doing: voting for a Mormon presidential candidate after comparing Mormonism to radical Islam on this website.
I think I made the parallel in terms of monogamy.
"There is an eerie similarity between Mormonism and Islam. If Romney is the nominee, and that is still a big IF at this point, nothing says I will vote for him. Regardless of how much I oppose "Christian" Obama."- Blue Collar Todd.

My guess is, if Romney selects Bachmann as his VP running mate, you're going to crank up your Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD, give up coffee, pull on some magic underwear and go and vote for Mitt.
CD and underwear are in the mail. But if Bachmann isn't the VP then I'm sending them back.
